On 21 November Matthias Manasi conducts the Orquestra Sinfonica do Teatro Nacional Claudio Santoro in Brazil in a German-Finish themed program including Wagner’s Meistersinger Overture , Korngold’s Violin Concerto, Sibelius’ Symphony No. 1. The soloist in the Korngold Violin Concerto will be Olga Pak. Manasi’s other season highlights include several concerts with Romanian National Radio Orchestra in Bucarest and concerts with Orchestra Sinfonica di Sanremo among others.... read more

Matthias Manasi appointed Music Director of the Nickel City Opera from May 2017

Matthias Manasi has been appointed as Music Director of the Nickel City Opera from the 17/18 season. He succeeds Michel Ching in the role. Matthias Manasi made his debut with the Nickel City Opera in 2017 with an uncommon, resounding success conducting a production of Mozart’s Impresario. As Music Director, he will lead the Nickel City Opera in subscription performances, on tour, at local community and civic events, and in the Nickel City Opera’s program of events for families and young people. He will also participate in bringing the work of the Nickel City Opera to the widest possible audience through broadcasts and recordings, and will, through his work internationally, act as an ambassador and advocate for the institution as a whole.... read more

Matthias Manasi will make his US opera debut at the Nickel City Opera in Buffalo (USA) and will lead a new production of W. A. Mozart’s  “The Impresario”. Matthias Manasi signed a contract at the State Opera Poznan (Teatr Wielki w Poznaniu im. Stanisława Moniuszki) for Macbeth, Eugen Onegin, Parsifal, Boris Godunow, Le Nozze di Figaro, Die Fledermaus, Shchedrin’s “Anna Karenina”, Moniuszko’s Halka,   and Elena Langer’s “Figaro gets a divorce”. Matthias Manasi extends his contract at Opera Wroclawska

Matthias Manasi has extended his contract as conductor of the Opera Wroclawska for 2 more years, through the 2015/16/17 seasons. “It has been one of the great privileges and pleasures of my artistic life to get to know this remarkable group of musicians more deeply over the years,” says Maestro Manasi. “It is a joy to make music together for our wonderful audiences. It is also very meaningful to be part of an inspiring artistic leadership team headed by Mrs. Ewa Michnik, and to be able to work with so many gifted and committed colleagues within the institution of the Opera Wroclawska.” When he’s not enchanting our audiences, Matthias Manasi works here in Wroclaw intensely for the performances of the large repertoire here at the Opera Wroclawska, as well as maintaining a busy conducting schedule in leading concert halls all over the world. Matthias Manasi will lead on Sunday, 15 December, the Neues Sinfonieorchester Berlin in the “Großes Weihnachtskonzert der Klassik – Flames of Classic” in the concert hall of the Maritim Hotel Magdeburg. The orchestra will also be joined by Yoshiaki Shibata (violin), Sabine Matthes (sopran), Heike Lerer (sopran), Marion Scott (tenor) and Thorsten Oliver Huth (bass).
